In winter, Thyon is connected to the 4 Valleys ski area, the largest ski area entirely in Switzerland with its 410 km of slopes. The ski area allows snow sports enthusiasts of all ages and levels to spend a unique time with family and friends in the exceptional setting of the Val d’Hérens.

The resort enjoys one of the largest beginner’s areas in the country and can be considered THE “Beginner’s friendly” destination par excellence, with its magic carpet for beginners, its snow garden and slopes of all levels.

More advanced skiers are not left out: magnificent slopes, perfect for training for competitions, as well as a renowned snowpark, complete the offer of the small Val d’Hérens resort.

While Thyon-Region is at its peak during the winter season, it also knows how to offer great experiences to its summer visitors who gladly come for its good alpine air, the calm of summer, its vast hiking areas as well as its mountain bike routes.

Like much of the Valais, this country offers many opportunities for hiking on relatively flat terrain along the bisses, the famous irrigation canals traced for centuries. Holidaymakers can also vary the pleasures thanks to horseback riding, climbing, paragliding and the many weekly activities offered by the tourist office. The Rhone Valley with its wine region is easily accessible.
